Writer’s Quote Wednesday, 5/11/16.

Standard

Another Wednesday and you know what that means.

He tightened the last bolt and closed the hatch. Finally, it was complete. After a year of frenzied construction, it was complete. He booted up the diagnostic computer and set it to run its checks. Then he set the machine, his newly finished time machine, to run its own checks.

It was finally time to go where and when no one else had gone before, to fix the things that needed to be fixed and right the wrongs which needed to be righted. Both checks came back in the green, and without further ado he dressed in his best suit, loaded his revolver and backpack, and climbed in.

“If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.” – Milton Berle.

Got to admit I love this quote. As always, this is for:

  1. Wow! Your story gave me chills. I wonder who he aimed to kill? Adolf Hitler, Elizabeth Bathory, Adolf Eichmann, Emperor Hirohito, Nero, Caligula, Attila the Hun, Genghis Khan,Tomas de Torquemada, Ivan the Terrible, Vlad Dracula? Or all of the above? There were and are so many evil, sadistic people on this planet where would he start?
