Alright, feeling sick, but I’m not letting it stop me today. Five minutes are on the clock, and here we go:
Josh’s arms tightened around her in reflex as she felt something bulge in her throat. She tried to coax it up with her hands, massaging her throat while staring at Josh’s wide eyes.
It worked all at once, the object that was choking her coming up and landing with a small thump on the bed. It was a stone… it was the stone, or it’s twin. Together, whole, and pulsing a faint glow in the room. Pulse pulse, pulse pulse, the gentle seeming red light washed over them as they stared at each other.
She had to stifle the urge to eat it; to choke it back down and never let it up again. She settled for closing both of her tiny hands over it, letting it’s warmth seep into her hands. One hand grabbed her tail, gently, and the other took an ear.
“Stan is that you?”
“Yes. Before you ask, I don’t know how.”
Alright, that’s as far as I got today. Sorry it wasn’t more, but something is better than nothing. See you all next week!
